Sam Friedman is a Los Angeles-based director and cinematographer from Montclair, New Jersey. His early experience with directing for television introduced him to creative collaboration at a young age, only strengthening his ability in communicating on set. Sam's passion for creating emotive visuals for writers and directors of various backgrounds has led him to embrace themes of empathy and non-conformity. Sam graduated from Pratt Institute in 2021 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film. In 2022, he won Jury Pick and received Honorable Mention for best student film at NFFTY.​ He is currently in post-production for his feature debut Grassland, co-written and co-directed by Sam and William Bermudez.
